Development Law examines the role of law, legal institutions and legal systems in both domestic and international jurisdictions. OAL advocates the need to recognize the intersection between law and economics. By a review of comparative law, international financial institutions, domestic macro-economic policy in the context of development law, OAL understands how law may foster a desired change in the way institutions can be organized to achieve national policy goals.
Our Policy Dialogue Series is an OAL initiative which highlights the impact of law on economic development. The Policy Dialogue and other incidental programmes will be an annual event starting with the 2014 Legal/Business Summit. As innovators and provider of legal solutions, we propose to raise issues, discuss them and ensure that solutions are implemented.
